          Uses:
Cabot® O.V.T.® Solid Color Oil Stains combine the best features
of stain and paint. These stains contain a blend of tough alkyd resin
and linseed oil, and offer tremendous hiding power yet resist cracking,
peeling and blistering. They provide a water-repellent and durable finish
that helps keep moisture out — thus minimizing wood warping and
checking. These stains provide long-lasting protection to new wood or
previously stained surfaces. Cabot O.V.T. Solid Color Oil Stains are
excellent for use on most types of smooth and rough exterior wood, including
siding, shingles, shakes and trim. They are ideal for use on well-seasoned
lumber such as cedar, redwood, fir, pine, cypress, spruce, pressuretreated
          wood and plywood panel siding.
        Composition:
Heavily pigmented, opaque, alkyd/linseed oil-based stain.
        Finish:
Dries to a uniform, flat finish.
        Coverage:
On smooth surfaces, approximately 400-500 square feet per gallon (9.81-12.27
square meters/liter); on rough surfaces, 150-250 square feet per gallon
(3.68-6.14 square meters/liter). These rates will vary depending upon
          the porosity of the surface.
        Restrictions:
Do not apply to lumber adjacent to fresh stucco. Do not use on incense
cedar. For these surfaces, use Cabot’s The Finish House &
Trim Paint and Cabot PRO.V.T.® Solid Color Acrylic Stains. Do not
use on decks or other horizontal surfaces. Cabot Decking Stains or Cabot

for interior surfaces. For exterior use only.
